[Hab 3:19 ESV] GOD, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer's; he makes me tread on my high places. To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments.
This is a worship Verse!
Do you rememeber 911? What were you doing?
The Prophet Habakkuk:
630 BC.
Israel divided Nation.
Fall of Jerusalem 1st 597 and final 586. BC.
Chapter 1: How long will, God? will you allow Israel to be so evil?
[Hab 1:2 ESV] O LORD, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear? Or cry to you "Violence!" and you will not save?
[Hab 1:3 ESV] Why do you make me see iniquity, and why do you idly look at wrong? Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise.
[Hab 1:4 ESV] So the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; so justice goes forth perverted.
God answers: I will send the Chaldeans to invade Israel.
[Hab 1:6 ESV] For behold, I am raising up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, who march through the breadth of the earth, to seize dwellings not their own.
Chapter 2: God says He will punish the Chaldeans for being evil.
God does as He wills.
[Hab 2:13 ESV] Behold, is it not from the LORD of hosts that peoples labor merely for fire, and nations weary themselves for nothing?
Chapter 3. Habakkuk prays and worships.
He was just told that evil nation He is living in will be destroyed in his lifetime. The nation that destroys his nation will be destroyed.
(Where did God say He would prosper Habakkuk with a new chariot, lots of money and a happy family. So go buy yourself something nice.)
In the prayer, Habakkuk talks about How God will judge all the nations of the earth with no mercy, to save His anointed people.
[Hab 3:13 ESV] You went out for the salvation of your people, for the salvation of your anointed. You crushed the head of the house of the wicked, laying him bare from thigh to neck. Selah
Circumstantially Habakkuk has been told he is going to witness a whole lot of bad things in his lifetime
[Hab 3:16 ESV] I hear, and my body trembles; my lips quiver at the sound; rottenness enters into my bones; my legs tremble beneath me. Yet I will quietly wait for the day of trouble to come upon people who invade us.
Now look as he yields and puts his trust in God.
[Hab 3:17 ESV] Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls,
[Hab 3:18 ESV] yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
Then he ends with.
[Hab 3:19 ESV] GOD, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer's; he makes me tread on my high places. To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments.
Just this week: A Politician will be charged, deadly force by law enforcement and a deadly attack on law enforcement in Texas. What about your struggles? Sick loved ones, struggling to pay bills, broken homes. What sins still have you trapped?
The peace of God is not about your circumstances.
It’s about your relationship to the one who made you.
Are you God’s enemy?
[Rom 8:6 ESV] For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
[Rom 8:7 ESV] For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot.
[Rom 8:8 ESV] Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
[Jas 4:4 ESV] You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
How can we become friends with God and not His enemy?
[2Co 5:17 ESV] Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
[2Co 5:18 ESV] All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;
[2Co 5:19 ESV] that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
Through Christ
The gospel is historical event where Jesus died for sinners on the cross, was buried, and rose from the dead (1 Cor. 15:1-4).
His death was a sacrifice that turns away the wrath of God (1 John 2:2).
This is the only way to be saved from God's righteous judgment upon those who have sinned by breaking his Law.
Jesus is the one who died for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2).
He is the only way to God the Father (John 14:6).
He alone reveals God (Matt. 11:27).
He has all authority in heaven and earth (Matt. 28:18).
It is only through Him that you can be saved from God's wrath (Eph. 2:3).
He can forgive you of your sin (Luke 5:20; Matt. 9:1-8).
He can remove the guilt that is upon your soul.
Jesus can set you free from the bondage of sin that blinds your eyes, weakens your soul, and brings you to despair.
He can do this because He bore sin in His body on the cross (1 Peter. 2:24) so that those who trust in Him would be saved.
Rejoice: to be glad; take delight also means: revel, exult, glory.
[Phl 4:4 ESV] Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.
[Phl 4:5 ESV] Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand;
[Phl 4:6 ESV] do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
[Phl 4:7 ESV] And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
[Psa 119:165 ESV] Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble.
[Psa 119:166 ESV] I hope for your salvation, O LORD, and I do your commandments.
Are you in the Bible daily? Do you care? What are you doing to make it a discipline to Get In the Bible daily?

4th of July; Individual Responsibility Equals Freedom
Saturday Jul 09, 2016

4th of July, 2016
Live as a Christian Where You Are.
If you have more Freedom in America as a Christian then more is required of you.
Individual responsibility = Freedom.
The moment you hand your individual responsibility to a government you lose that freedom and become a slave to that government.
Moral Laws are all you can enforce as a government.
Murder,
Lying, con-artist
Stealing: embezzling
Governments carry the sword for a reason.
When a government creates laws to prevent a sin before it happens, that is when you lose your freedom and no government can manage what they create.
Thought Laws: “hate crimes” “hate speech”
God’s Plan for the Local Church
[Eph 4:11 ESV] And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers,
[Eph 4:12 ESV] to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
To What End? To Grow Up.
[Eph 4:13 ESV] until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
[Eph 4:14 ESV] so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.
[Eph 4:15 ESV] Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,
[Eph 4:16 ESV] from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
Don’t do what the world is doing.
[Eph 4:17 ESV] Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds.
[Eph 4:18 ESV] They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.
[Eph 4:19 ESV] They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity.
Heads Up Christian!
[Eph 4:20 ESV] But that is not the way you learned Christ!--
[Eph 4:21 ESV] assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus,
[Eph 4:22 ESV] to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,
[Eph 4:23 ESV] and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
[Eph 4:24 ESV] and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
Your New Action Plan
[Eph 4:25 ESV] Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.
Anger is not Sin.
[Eph 4:26 ESV] Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,
[Eph 4:27 ESV] and give no opportunity to the devil.
Individual Responsibility . . . there it is.
[Eph 4:28 ESV] Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.
Watch your mouth.
[Eph 4:29 ESV] Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
rotten, putrefied
For the Christian, the Holy Spirit is IN YOU.
[Eph 4:30 ESV] And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Don’t carry dung in your heart and mind. The opposite of forgiving.
[Eph 4:31 ESV] Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
[Eph 4:32 ESV] Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Your Christian work this week. Read Ephesians 5 once a day, every day.

Learn To Discern; How Should Christians Respond To The Orlando Event?

Enemy Has One Play Book and one goal: to be God.
[2Th 2:3 ESV] Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
[2Th 2:4 ESV] who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
God is restraining him.
[2Th 2:6 ESV] And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time.
[2Th 2:7 ESV] For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only He who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way.
[2Th 2:8 ESV] And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming.
Counterfeit Everything
[2Th 2:9 ESV] The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders,
[2Th 2:10 ESV] and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
God gives over people
[2Th 2:11 ESV] Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false,
[2Th 2:12 ESV] in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
How is a Christian to React and Respond to the Orlando Event?
Do Not Be Deceived.
[1Co 6:9 NASB] Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
[1Co 6:10 ESV] nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
That is a list of what Unrepented people do.
Sin is the great equalizer. [Rom 3:23 ESV] for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
[1Co 6:11 ESV] And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
How should a Christians respond to the Orlando Event?
1. Unpack it correctly. Let the Bible inform you.
A member of Islam murdered sodomites.
Darkness attacked darkness.
A unrepented lost person of a godless religion attacked unrepeneted lost people indulging in fornication, idolatry, adultery, effeminate, homosexuality, drunkenness.
That event was a demonic nightmare from beginning to end.
[1Jo 3:4 ESV] Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
The devil’s goal was to create counterfeit martyrs out of sodomites. So people will support LGBT. . . . .
It worked!
Reminder, God gives over people to their evil.
[2Th 2:11 ESV] Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false,
[2Th 2:12 ESV] in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
I saw so-called Christian ministers “standing in unity” with LGBT. ..
Never affirm evil for any reason.
Your sadness should be that unrepented people perished horrifically in their sin.
2. Respond Correctly
How did Jesus respond to a massacre at a synagogue in His Day? He told them to repent.
[Luk 13:1 ESV] There were some present at that very time who told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
[Luk 13:2 ESV] And he answered them, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way?
[Luk 13:3 ESV] No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
[Luk 13:4 ESV] Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem?
[Luk 13:5 ESV] No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish."
Never Affirm sin. For any reason. Sodomites, fornicators, adulterers and drunkards LGBT. . .
[Jde 1:22 ESV] And have mercy on those who doubt;
[Jde 1:23 ESV] save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.
How do we save others and show mercy?
Learn how to Share the Gospel.
Jesus Commands IT!
The Righteousness of God
[Rom 1:16 ESV] For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
[Rom 1:17 ESV] For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, "The righteous shall live by faith."
Speak It & Cut and Paste.
[2Ti 3:16 ESV] All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
[2Ti 3:17 ESV] that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
God has you, now move forward and share the Gospel.
[Jde 1:24 ESV] Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy,
[Jde 1:25 ESV] to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
