New Years is a Great times to stop and think.
Youth group story: prayer and meditation challenge at camp.
Oh how we hate silence.

Atheists and existentialism: They have nothing to look forward to, they have no hope.

God wants to

[Psa 8:2 ESV] Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.

[Psa 8:8 ESV] the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas.
[Psa 8:9 ESV] O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

[Psa 19:1 ESV] To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
[Psa 19:2 ESV] Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
[Psa 19:3 ESV] There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard.

[Psa 19:4 ESV] Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,

the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;

the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;

[Psa 19:9 ESV] the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever;
the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether.

[Psa 19:10 ESV] More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold;
sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.
[Psa 19:11 ESV] Moreover, by them is your servant warned;
in keeping them there is great reward.

[Psa 19:12 ESV] Who can discern his errors?
Declare me innocent from hidden faults.

[Psa 19:13 ESV] Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins;
let them not have dominion over me!
Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.

[Psa 19:14 ESV] Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.

Celebrate Communion: we are called to examine our self.

[1Co 11:28 ESV] Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
[1Co 11:29 ESV] For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.
[1Co 11:30 ESV] That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died.
